What is an inspection camera and what is it used for?
An inspection camera is a small camera that is attached to a mobile probe and can adapt to different environments. It is used to inspect narrow and hard-to-reach areas such as pipes, ducts and chimneys. It allows the user to identify damage or problems. The swiveling camera head allows for a complete view of the pipe wall and branches to be inspected. It is also equipped with a transmitter in the head of the camera which gives the user the position, angle and location of the damaged area via our display and locator.
What is the difference between an inspection camera and endoscope?
Endoscopes are used to obtain an initial overview of possible damaged areas or blockages. Due to their small diameter, they are suitable for small cavities and drains. In contrast, the inspection camera can also reach deeper areas of pipes or chimneys thanks to its enormous cable length, making it particularly suitable for inspection and localization.
Can images and videos from the inspection camera be saved?
Yes, the recorded videos and photos can be saved on an SD card or USB stick. The files from the Wöhler VIS 350 inspection camera can be transferred via a mini USB port. With the Wöhler VIS 500, you can choose to save images and videos to the camera's large internal memory or to a USB stick. The Wöhler VIS 700 has its own app with which the smartphone or tablet can be used as a second display and the files can be transferred via WLAN.
